I bet the vase on the hearth is lovely to look at.<br /><br />I looked at the beekeeper quilt, too. It has the benefit of being portable, whereas this gets to be quite bulky as you go. Ultimately I just liked the look of this blanket better. It is getting very full. This is a great idea and may have to follow your lead.
